Rising senior and Breckenridge native Marley Webber has enjoyed her Colorado State University academic career so much that she’s spent this summer passing that enthusiasm on to students just starting out.

Webber, a biology major with a concentration in human anatomy and physiology, has spent the summer as an intern in the Biology/Zoology student advising office, offering assistance in planning that ever-important moment in first-year students’ lives: orientation.

As the office’s summer intern, Webber works with incoming biology students during their first few days on campus, presenting information about what different credits mean; helping them make decisions about fall schedules; and offering advice and resources as someone who’s already been through it all.

Her supervisor, Academic Success Coordinator Liz Menter, called Webber “diligent, upbeat, conscientious, and amazingly helpful while helping the Department of Biology welcome new first-year students to campus this summer.”

Webber hopes her affinity for CSU rubs off on others.

“Something that I have learned throughout this experience is how amazing it is to help others out and show them how going to CSU is one of the best decisions that they’ve made,” she said.

Speaking of that biology major, Webber has also been taking Physics 122 this summer while on campus – one of two physics requirements toward her degree.

“I am having a blast in the class,” she said.
