Borch and Fisher honored at Celebrate! CSU

Each year, Colorado State University celebrates the teaching, research and service achievements of Colorado State University students, alumni and friends, academic faculty, administrative professionals and classified staff. This year, two of our outstanding professors were honored for the work that they have done here at CSU.

Image of Ellen Fisher at Celebrate! CSU 2018Chemistry Professor Ellen Fisher and Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, was awarded with the Oliver P. Pennock Distinguished Service Award at this years Celebrate! CSU. This award recognizes meritorious and outstanding achievement over a five-year period by full-time members of the academic faculty. This award was established as a tribute to Professor Pennock, who served as a distinguished professor of Civil Engineering in the 1920s.

Professor Thomas Borch, Professor of Environmental Chemistry with the Departments of Soil and Crop Sciences, Chemistry and Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University was awarded with the Interdisciplinary Scholarship Award. This award recognizes either a faculty member or research team whose interdisciplinary scholarship has had a major impact nationally and/or internationally, or who have demonstrated their potential to do so.
